Trekking
"For all tastes and ages" is maybe the best definition for the great choice
of walks starting from Maiori and neighbouring villages. The walks snake between
the sea and the mountains with breathtaking views and new discoveries: the best
times of the year are spring and autumn to be able to appreciate the colours, the
vareties and richness of the Mediterranean vegetation and the many fragrances.
The well know paths are, other than the famous "Path of the gods" those
that run along and through the Lattari Mountains. You will find suggestions, descriptions
and itineraries amongst other things at www.giovis.com
Many of the walks are short, easy and suitable for children. The Hotel Panorama’s
kitchen can provide well-balanced and nutritios packed lunches, studied especially
for hikers.
Many of the starting points are easily accessible on foot or local transport: the
hotel is happy to provide directions and times.
